Our Yzerfontein Beach House is just 200 metres from the main beach and an equally short stroll from one of South Africa’s best-known bakeries. Start the day with fresh croissants and a long walk along an empty beach shared only with ostriches, then come home for a lazy afternoon and a braai.
Three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms with a bath and two walk-in showers offer plenty of space to relax. The fully equipped kitchen was planned by your host, whose Italian roots made a good space for cooking and sharing meals a priority. There’s space to sit outside around the braai, of course, when the afternoon calls for a spritz and the mandatory dinner under the stars.
It’s a relaxed, welcoming home for two couples travelling together or a family bringing the grandparents along. The beach is close enough for kids to go on their own, breakfast is a short walk away, and there’s every reason to take the day slowly.

Do you have parking?
Yes, we have 3 parking bays in front of the house.
Is the house serviced?
The house is a self-catering unit and not serviced. However, we can arrange a service at a fee for you. Just let us know.
Do you supply coffee / wood?
We supply Nespresso capsules and wood to get you going. The house is a self-catering unit, and everything beyond the initial supply can be stocked up on in the supermarkets in town.
What about safety?
Yzerfontein is the 2nd safest neighbourhood in the Western Cape. For your peace of mind, we have an alarm system as well as an outdoor camera.
Is the house child-friendly?
It is - just know that there is a steep flight of stairs in the house.
When is checkin & checkout?
Our checkin is at 2pm, our checkout is at 10 am. Because we are usually fully booked, we can not accommodate flexible checkin and checkout times, unfortunately.
